Xangle Orbit Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 13, 2026 · Version: 2026-10-13-desktop-4

1. Scope and controller

This Privacy Policy applies to Xangle Orbit, including its desktop application, support services, and licence-related network requests. Eric Pare Studio inc. ("Xangle", "we", "us") is responsible for the processing described here.

2. Information we process

When you activate or use a licence, Xangle may process your email address, licence and plan details, app and version information, machine-binding information, session data, and timestamps needed to authenticate and enforce the licence.

Each time the licence is checked (at launch, periodically while the app or plugin is used, or when you use a Register action), we record a one-way hashed version of your account email, solely to count daily and monthly active users for this product in aggregate. This hashed value cannot be reversed back into your email address and is not used to build a profile of your in-app activity.

The application may send ordinary service request metadata, including IP address, date and time, user-agent or runtime information, and request outcome. Local network addresses used for device discovery are not necessarily transmitted to or retained by Xangle.

Diagnostics are collected only when you explicitly submit a report or request support. Depending on the report, it may include operating-system, runtime, GPU, display, connected-device, configuration, log, and network-reachability information. Do not include personal or customer content that you do not want to share.

3. Product-specific processing

Xangle Orbit may process content and technical data needed to provide the features you request. Customer media, project files, and outputs remain your responsibility and are not used for unrelated purposes. When you request cloud processing, selected images and related metadata are transferred to Xangle and its service providers to perform that job, including training a scene-specific Gaussian Splat when requested. Xangle does not use submitted images to train general-purpose or cross-customer models. Processing files are kept in temporary storage while the job runs and results are delivered. Xangle requests deletion from active transfer storage after the software confirms download, or after a job fails or is cancelled. Cleanup may be delayed by technical failures or provider backup and retention systems.

Some Xangle products send guest email addresses or delivery-session information when an operator chooses to share content. This does not make a guest a licence-holder account.

Optional Assistant requests send prompts, limited conversation history, selected document or preset source, relevant editor settings, camera capabilities and geometry, and product documentation through Xangle Portal to AI providers, currently including Google Gemini. Assistant uses text and structured context rather than uploading underlying images or videos unless a separately disclosed feature requires them. Do not enter credentials, secrets, or information you are not authorized to share. Opening Assistant alone does not submit an AI request.

4. Purposes, providers, and retention

We process information to provide and secure the software, enforce licences, provide support, deliver requested cloud or sharing features, prevent abuse, comply with law, and communicate transactional or consented promotional information.

For cloud processing, we retain operational records separately from image files. These can include the licence and operation identifiers, file names and dataset identifier, image count, selected training steps and resolution, quoted and charged credits, job status, and processing duration. We use these records to calculate and administer credits, prevent duplicate charges, provide support, resolve disputes, secure the service, and meet legal obligations. Credit and job records may be retained after processing files are deleted for as long as reasonably needed for those purposes. Service providers may include hosting, storage, email, payment, diagnostics, and processing infrastructure providers. We do not sell personal information.

For Assistant, we process data to generate and validate replies, recover interrupted requests, administer usage, and secure the service. Local history remains on your device until reset, expiry when reopened, or settings deletion. Reset clears active local chat history, not separate service or provider records. Portal result records normally expire after seven days and AI usage records after 90 days; billing and security records may remain as reasonably needed for their purposes or legal obligations. Stable instructions and camera context may be temporarily cached by the AI provider. Provider processing may occur outside your country; provider security, retention, and any permitted service-improvement use follow its applicable terms and privacy practices. We do not promise immediate deletion from provider systems.

5. Rights and contact

Depending on applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, or withdraw consent for optional processing. Contact Eric Pare Studio inc., Montreal, Quebec, Canada, at privacy@xangle.net. The effective date and version above identify this notice.
